This one's done and shipped.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it next to her sisters.  Oh well...

Made great progress over the weekend, finished the sponson conversions, the missile racks and the servitors.

Ecclesiarch #3 - WIP Update #1

Just thought I'd post a WIP update on the Ecclesiarch commission. I completed the hull modifications  needed to mount the organist's cockpit and the front plate by lengthening the upper hull by a 1/4" or so, then building a deck from sheet styrene to mount it on.

Yep, I'm building another.  I've been commissioned to build the third one of these beauties.  When it's done I'll take a family portrait with it's sisters and the babies (regular Exorcists) just for grins. The other two can be seen here and here

Uriah Jacobus Painted

Here's my Uriah Jacobus conversion that I wrote about previously all painted up, the color scheme is intended to match with my wife's Sisters.  The main color of the robes is the old Liche Purple, I'm not sure what it's called in the new colors, with a red-gore tabard with blood read highlights.  The flames were based with Mechrite Red then highlighted with Blazing Orange, Iyanden Dark Sun and White, I finished the flames with a bit of yellow ink.

Shrine-World PDF

I'm playing around with some guardsmen for my wife to use as allies with her Sisters; I'm looking doing a somewhat ceremonial-looking  PDF regiment from the same homeworld and using similar colors.  I'm using  cadian bodies MAS Guards heads and Cadian arms/weapons.  I think the Cadian  look fine but I'm kinda iffy on the Cadian shoulder pads -- I think I'll reserve final judgement until after the prototype is painted.

I decided to do a sergeant first as the prototype.  Since these guys will likely be blobbed up with Uriah Jacobus, the Sgts. will get power axes.  Here of course comes the rub;  guardsmen hold their las-pistols in their right hands and chain swords in the left -- except for the Warriors of  Chaos, all of the axes are held by right hands, and the WoC axes don't really look suitable for these guys.  I found some nice right-handed halbreds in my bitz box and set to work.  For this first guy, I used a right arm from the Cadian heavy weapons box holding a mortar round -- swapped the hand for the one with the axe and assembled.  The left hand started as a Sgt's chainsword arm, removed the chainsword and added a las-pistol from one of the tank sprues and glued it all together.

 

I think he fits the theme, now to get him painted.

Uriah Jacobus

Uriah Jacobus offers a lot of buffs for a Sisters of Battle army (or an allied contingent of Guardsmen), but I'm not all that crazy about the official model.  So, I decided to convert one up for my wife.

Ecclesiarch Number 2 Ready for Painting

As the title states, Ecclesiarch #2 is ready for painting.  I decided to change the weapon loadout slightly by exchanging the inferno cannon for twin-linked heavy bolters -- I'll give them some rules out of the Sisters of Battle codex like inferno rounds to compensate.  I also added a little different 'bling' on the launcher.  Each of these should be a unique animal.  As you can see, I've started a bit on painting some of the weapons -- these aren't glued on yet.

I finally think that this beast is ready for painting.    Since this monster is now finished, I decided to enter it into Miniature Wargame Conversion Conversions' September Contest.  I'd appreciate your vote here!
 
The last hold out was figuring out how to do the Inferno cannon on the sponson turrets -- IG Hellhound barrels are hard to come by.  Ultimately, I punted and decided to graft the Flame Storm barrels on instead.  Now, I just have to finish the other beast, and re-write the datasheet to fit with the new codex.   Meanwhile, enjoy some more pics:

Ecclesiarch -- Super Heavy Exorcist, Part II

Wow, it's been over a year... Here's an update on the Ecclesiarch.  When I last posted, I had the basic superstructure of this beast built and needed to add details.  First up was some over-the-top bling for the sides.  I took some inspiration for the side plates from the Fortress of Arrogance field of skulls combined with the Sister's Fleur-de-Lis icon.  For the skulls, I made a casting from the Cities of Death Imperial Basilica.  I combined the skulls with the Fluer-de-lis from the Immolator kit.  To tie it in with the Baneblade chassis, I framed the icons with 0.10" C-channel and added rivets with 1 mm plastic rod.

 

Ecclesiarch Super Heavy Exorcist -- The Rules

OK, if you follow FTW, you may have seen the Super-Heavy Exorcist(s) that I'm building for my wife. I'll do the second half of the construction post at FTW; what I wanted to pursue here is the data sheet for this monster. I'd like all of you Apocalyptically-inclined folks to help me out here with the data sheet if you could.

The hull is a Baneblade hull so it should follow those armor values. The other weapons; e.g. hull Demolisher cannon, sponson twin-linked Multi-meltas and turret mounted inferno (hellhound) cannons have well established rules; the missile launcher (aka the Pipe-Organ-o-doom) is another matter.

OK, I figure since this thing is larger, uses 2 loader servitors, and larger rockets, that the stats should be upgraded -- maybe 1+ D6 shots S9 AP1 Apocalyptic Barrage. My reasoning on 1+D6 is that with two servitors, it should always be able to get off 2 shots per turn. Thoughts? Overpowered, under powered or about right?

Also I'm looking for help on pointing this thing out -- a standard Baneblade runs 500 pts, should an Ecclesiarch run 600 pts?

I'm also looking at additional special rules like:

Holy Shrine: All Adeptus Sororitas units within 12" gain +1 A and Preferred Enemy as they fight to prevent defilement at the hands of the enemy.

Ok, so the floor is open, what are your thoughts on this beast?
